Kenwood Avino SJ-9CDR. A version with NetMD added was released as MPX-710 (a laptio + audio package)
Kenwood Corporation will release a mini component system “Digital Avino SJ-9CDR” equipped with a CD-R / RW recorder that supports WMA / MP3 playback in late November. The price is an open price, and the estimated retail price is expected to be around 90,000 yen.
The “Digital Avino SJ-9CDR” is the flagship model of the Avino series equipped with three spindles: a CD player, a CD-R / RW recorder, and an MD recorder. It has a separate amplifier structure with the amplifier / tuner separated, and “reduces digital noise and achieves high sound quality.” The output of the amplifier is 20W x 2ch (6Ω).
The CD player section and the CD-R / RW recorder section are arranged side by side. The CD-R / RW section can play back WMA and MP3 recorded on a CD, and it is the first “MD stereo system” to be equipped with a WMA / MP3 decoder.
Supports the display of “ID3 tag” or “WMA tag” during WMA / MP3 playback. However, it does not support the display or input of Chinese characters. In addition, it is equipped with a “double speed twin REC” function that allows double speed dubbing of both CD → MD and CD → CD-R / RW at the same time, and the MD section supports MDLP and group functions.
Input / output is equipped with one each of AUX IN, AUX OUT, digital input, and subwoofer pre-out. The attached speaker is a 2-way 2 speaker system that uses a 55 x 130 mm oval cone type woofer and a 19 mm dome type tweeter.
